Biography
Jerry
Edgerton is a seasoned Washington, DC, veteran, possessing an intimate
knowledge of the legislative and regulatory processes, as well as
the ever-evolving business landscape. He is skilled in the “ways
of Washington,” ready to assist and advise in important objectives
from executive level relationships to securing viable
government business.
Jerry
is widely known and respected in the federal marketplace for his
30+ years of bringing advanced communications technology to government.
For
nearly 20 years, Jerry skillfully led MCI/Verizon Business federal
government business unit, building it from the ground up into a
$3 billion enterprise, widely regarded today as the premier federal
government telecommunications organization. Under Jerry’s leadership,
the federal business unit enjoyed significant year over year revenue
growth, retaining not only the vast majority of its customers, but
its employees as well. The sales unit continually led the entire
company in revenue growth and over-plan performance despite a highly competitive federal marketplace.
MCI’s
FTS2001 contract ushered in a new era of federal telecommunications
beginning in 1998, delivering to the federal government – and to
taxpayers – advanced technology at exceptional value. Networx has
been awarded and is in the early stages of implementation. Significant
opportunity exists for technology insertion and innovation with
the new service providers.
Jerry’s
unrelenting focus on customer service has not gone unnoticed. Federal
customers regularly give the company among the highest possible
scores for service and responsiveness.
Through
Jerry’s efforts, managed networks for federal customers such as
the U.S. Postal Service and the Department of Defense are unsurpassed
in their reliability and innovative design. These solutions have
set the standard in the federal marketplace for network performance
– a standard that competitors continually attempt to emulate.
